India won a total of 81 medals in different sports including gold medals. In the Asian Games 2023, India consolidated fourth place for herself in terms of total medals. The total number of medals is still in doubt. Some say that India has won a total of 81 medals while some say the number is not 81 it’s 86. But still, India has won 21 gold medals till 5th October in different sports segments. However, China reserved first place with a total of 326 medals till now. Japan and the Public of Korea are in second and third place accordingly with a total of 150 and 1544 medals in total.

Other Achievements in Asian Games 2023
Pooja Gehlot made a path to the semis in women’s wrestling, but unfortunately, Antim Panghal lost in the quarter. Indian women’s compound archery team reserved a confirmed place in the finals by defeating Indonesia by 233-219. In badminton, P.V Sindhu was defeated by China’s He Bingjiao by 12-2 and got knocked out of the competition.
