What Makes Venom: The Last Dance Stand Out?

Venom: The Last Dance follows Eddie Brock/Venom and all of his grotesque and tremendous fun doing what they do best. But first reactions have seen the movie as a form of crazy car ride. There have been some comparisons to “Thelma & Louise”, while Eddie and Venom undergo an uncharacteristic sort of buddy comedy. Just like the other Venom series, this movie gives a lot of associated laughter, heartfelt scenes, and much mayhem.

Critics Weigh In: This is the good, the bad, and the venomenal.

Some of the critics required the producer to release a gory and explicit unrated version of the film. After which several critics showed a passionate reaction following the New York movie release. Many believe “Venom: The title, ‘’The Last Dance’’ is a suitable and entertaining closing. Here’s a snapshot of the varied reactions:

  1. Ian Sandwell from Digital Spy talked about the entertaining approach used in the film. It’s the most entertaining of the trilogy. As he said it is a romantic comedy traveling road movie. And contains dramatic and humorous scenes without scenes stealing kisses.
  2. Simon Thompson said the film is “a fun send-off to delivering the goods for the franchise.” He outlined that the program offers a great variety of stunts. From awesomely kooky to downright wayward, so it definitely is a good show. Thompson told the fans to “sit back and enjoy the show” literally telling them to “take some popcorn and chill”.
  3. Even Matt Ramos who has never really enjoyed the previous ‘Venom’ films was not shy of praise stating that Venom 3 is possibly the best in the series. According to Ramos, it is the funniest issue as well as the most emotional one to date. He loved the “cool symbiote stuff” and that he found this particular film.
  4. Joe Deckelmeier from Screen Rant found a movie is more than a comic book movie for the early 2000s. And more of an action film from the 80s. The emotional response is rather exotic for the sites.

But it wasn’t all applause. Some critics found issues with the film:

  1. Andrew J.’s on Film made Andrew J. Salazar look disappointed saying that the movie was not good and Googe did a disservice to Tom Hardy. Being one of the severest critics, he questioned whether the movie actually paid the rightful tribute to Hardy.

Action, Heart, and A Hint of Madness:

One thing all critics agree on Venom: The Last Dance is full of action and emotion, as well as craziness. But for some, it is these very qualities which make the movie memorable. Hollywood Reporter Drew Taylor described it as plain and simple as crazy but with an emotional core. He said, “It’s not perfect but super entertaining.” And talked about an imaginative giant monster that eating people in an awesome battle.

Some people believe that the movie distorts what the audiences want of the Venom movies. Expect super-powered-up action melee set pieces, some out-of-control CGI symbiote fight scenes, and sincere emotional breakdowns that fall into a mix of comedy, horror, and action. Fans on Twitter are even going as far as saying that this is the most ‘cinematic’ Venom movie, where the last scene is ‘nuts’.

The Challenges of Wrapping Up a Beloved Franchise

Conclusions are always difficult, much more so if you’re dealing with a franchise with as loyal an audience as Venom has. Venom is an uncommon superhero film project in prior movies that combined horror aspects of the hero with comic contemplation about an extraterrestrial friendship. What Sony did with “Venom 3” was an attempt to give audiences a resolution that feels right and respectable to the characters.

However, Tom Hardy, a human who finds himself between a normal job and a wild alien companion named Venom, is the heartbeat of the entire film. While most critics have reacted with hostility, the audience can still rave about Hardy’s performance. It will also be noted that many spectators already appreciated Hardy’s devotion to the character and the interaction with the symbiote character.

Venom 3 Box Office Expectations

Still, there are decisions made, and viewers’ desire to watch the movie and form their opinions increases.
